Summer Reading 2010

Splish, Splash @ Your Library

This summer, from June 5 - August 7, CCPL offers four unique reading experiences to kids ages 0- 18 as well as a program specifically created for childcare agencies. All of the programs give opportunities to enhance pre-literacy and literacy skills, learn some fun water facts, and win prizes.

"Summer Reading is a chance for kids to see that reading doesn't always have to be about quizzes and comprehension. It can be fun and enjoyable which in turn strengthens their skills for when reading is about quizzes and comprehension. We give kids a chance to read what they want to read, not what they have to read," explained Tracey McCullough, Supervisor of the Office of Public Affairs and Programs.
