Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert

Act Your Age, Eve Brown

First on the Can’t Wait To Read List is Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert. Talia Hibbert writes with such joyful charm that is hard not to love! Eve Brown is the third Brown sister in the fun, diverse and quirky series so I am eager to read her love story. In the series, it was important for the author to represent her characters with honest positivity and realism which I admire. If you’re a fan of chick lit and sexy romance comedies, this book needs to be added to your list! Due out in March 2021. From Shayna, a blogger and podcaster.

Fire Keeper’s Daughter

Next on the Can’t Wait To Read List is Fire Keeper’s Daughter by Angeline Boulley, also due out in March 2021. With a mix of Ojibwe culture and realistic suspense, this author’s debut is getting a lot of positive buzz. Plus the cover is fire! From Stacy, a blogger and podcaster.

Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells

Fugitive Telemetry

Next is Fugitive Telemetry by Martha Wells, the next book in the Murderbot Diaries. This series is everything. Quick read, snarky main character that I identify heavily with whose inner musings make me laugh out loud. In this book, Murderbot has to solve a murder. And even worse, interact with the humans. Ugh! Due out in April 2021. From Laura, blogger and podcaster.

A Psalm for the Wild-Built

Next on the Can’t Wait To Read List is A Psalm for the Wild-Built by Becky Chambers. She’s a great storyteller and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the optimistic science fiction she’s written so far.  I’m excited for her new series about sentient robots who centuries ago sequestered themselves in Earth’s wild areas and are just now reemerging to fulfill a long ago promise made to humans. Due out in July 2021. From Emily, a blogger.

for your own good
For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing

For Your Own Good

And then we have For Your Own Good by Samantha Downing. She has a real knack for twists and turns that you never see coming, along with characters who have questionable motives. Her first two books My Lovely Wife and He Started It had me reading well after my bedtime. I truly can’t wait for what she has in store next! Due out in July 2021. From Skye, a blogger.

all the murmuring bones
All the Murmuring Bones by AG Slatter

All the Murmuring Bones

Next on the Can’t Wait To Read List is All the Murmuring Bones by AG Slatter. I love all things fantasy and horror, and this book sounds like a perfect blend of both. The title and cover caught my attention right away, and I cannot wait to dive into this world of magic and the sea. Due out in July 2021. From Jordan, a blogger and podcaster.

any way the wind blows
Any Way the Wind Blows
by Rainbow Rowell

Any Way the Wind Blows

Finally, the last book that we can’t wait to read is Any Way the Wind Blows by Rainbow Rowell. The third and final installment in the Simon Snow series (Harry Potter reimagined; the “source material” of the fan fiction from her novel Fangirl) takes the characters back to England to sort out their complicated lives. The books and characters are fully developed, in spite of being based on others, and have everything you could possibly want from fantasy novels: epic magical battles mixed with everyday life, ill-fated romance, and a well-built universe of their own. Due out in July 2021. From Cara, a podcaster.

Conclusion

As you can see, we have a varied list of books that we just can’t wait to read during 2021. Is there a book that you’re excited about reading this year? Tell us in the comments below.
