Announcing the winners of the Library’s 2022 Short Story Contest
Congratulations to the winners of the 2022 Short Story Contest hosted by the Clermont County Public Library. We received 32 adult entries and 41 teen entries this year. We truly appreciate you sharing your stories!
Short Story Contest Winners 2022
The first, second, and third place winners in both categories have been selected.
Adult winners
- First Place: The Dog by Michael Kennedy
- Second Place: Saturday Night with the Not Quite Deadby Jan Allen
- Third Place: Sedgwick, Santa’s Secret Mouse by Greg McCollam
Teen winners
- First Place: The Flower Child by Ellie Duffy
- Second Place: Wishing by Ingrid Erickson
- Third Place: Beware, the Wrath of Dragonsby Holly Erickson

Judging the contest
The entries were judged anonymously and evaluated independently. The highest scoring entries were sent to a professor at UC Clermont College. The professor also read the entries without knowing the authors and then chose the winners for both categories.
