Description of Friday’s events

Escape the 90s challenge

 Friday, November 6, 11 AM

Escape the 90s is an interactive digital escape game where players use their wits to solve a series of puzzles in order to escape.

Oh snap! The vacation you booked through a discount travel agency is a disaster. Instead of luxurious accommodations, you’re stuck in a dumpy cabin in the middle of nowhere. And the free Internet advertised? It’s dial-up! Whatever. As soon as you tried to get onto the internet, there was a strange buzzing noise, error messages, and all of a sudden, you’re trapped in a digital version of the 90s! Can you figure out how to escape? Or will it be hasta la vista, baby?

Friday, November 6, 12 PM

Vic and Kaity test out their drawing skills as they discuss the difference between manga and graphic novels. Watch them duke it out for this special Librari*Con episode!

Fandom bracelet craft

Friday, November 6, 5:30 PM

Now you can easily show off your favorite fandom with our popsicle bracelet craft! All you need is a popsicle stick, gently bent into shape while wet and dried to keep its shape, some Mod Podge or other glue, and a piece of paper from a comic, advertisement, or other form of paper showing your favorite fandom, cut into the shape of the popsicle stick. Follow along and pause as much as you need to in order to make your own fandom bracelet. Register to get your own supplies from the library – glue not included!

D&D, or Dungeons & Dragons, has been one of the most popular tabletop games since its creation in 1974 – so what is it?
