Congratulations to the winners of the 2021 Short Story Contest hosted by the Clermont County Public Library. We received 29 adult entries and 32 teen entries this year. We truly appreciate you sharing your stories!

The first, second, and third place winners in both categories have been selected.
Adult Winners
- First Place: Two Kittens and A Pig Named Ed by Max West
- Second Place: Music Hall Ghost Story by Tiffany Tanner
- Third Place: My Mom, My Ward by Laurence Fronk
Teen Winners
- First Place: Swept Away by Ingrid Erickson
- Second Place: Willie’s Quokka by Ellie Duffy
- Third Place: A Mouse Story by Leah Dagenbach

The entries were judged anonymously and evaluated independently. The highest scoring entries were sent to a professor at UC Clermont College. The professor also read the entries without knowing the authors and then chose the winners for both categories.
Fyodor Dostoevsky once wrote, “But how could you live and have no story to tell?” Thank you to all who entered and told yours to us. There were many excellent entries this year including those who did not place.
