Director’s Note: March & April 2025

Text reading "Director's Note"

I hope you’ve stayed warm and safe during this chilly and snowy winter season. As we look ahead to the arrival of spring, I’m excited about all the programs and events we have planned, and I hope they’ll inspire, inform, and engage you throughout the coming months.

Upcoming events

Many of our branches are offering a variety of spring-themed programs, including gardening workshops and Easter egg-themed events to help usher in the season. Another way to celebrate spring is by participating in our Spring into Reading challenge starting April 1! Read and log 300 minutes by April 30, and you’ll be entered into a grand prize drawing. In addition, each minute read and logged brings us closer to our community goal of reading 8 million minutes. So, whether it’s homework, a recipe, Storytime at your local branch, or even reading the back of a cereal box, every minute counts!

Grant recipient

I’m excited to share that the Clermont County Public Library has received an LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act) Competitive Grant from the State Library of Ohio to expand our Library2Go program. With this grant, we aim to deliver Library resources to childcare centers and preschools in our local school districts. We’re also launching pop-up Libraries at local schools, senior living facilities, and other areas in our community. We’re eager to bring the Library closer to you!

Hallmark on hoopla Digital

And here’s some great news for movie lovers: Hallmark movies are now available on hoopla Digital with your Library card! Download the app today to enjoy a wide selection of TV shows, movies, and audiobooks, all available for free with your Library card.

I hope you make the Clermont County Public Library part of your spring festivities; we have something for everyone!
